Maywood Library Celebrates the 2014 Chinese New Year

A resounding hoorah was heard for miles as we Celebrated Chinese New Year with more than 65 people in attendance.  Our Chinese Club student members performed a dragon dance as well as sang traditional new year’s songs.  Mrs. Coleman, our Certified Mandarin Teacher and a Maywood resident, worked with our Public Relations Director - Jenna Lee Columbia - to present the attendees an authentic taste of Chinese heritage.  All who attended enjoyed the true to form Chinese festivities and refreshments.
